This wait has been so much harder then I ever could have prepared myself for. I seems that the longer I wait the longer the wait gets. There are time when I feel like it is never going to happen, that this is all a really great idea, but our child will never be in our arms. I know all of this isn't true, someday our child will be home and in our arms and this time of waiting will seem so irrelevant, but right now in the midst of the wait it is very relevant. I want this time to be worth something and not just wasted time. I want to spend this time drawing closer to God and cherishing the moments that I have with my sweet boys.
A recent blessing we received was a chance to go to Phoenix for a long weekend to spend some time with Kevin's parents. It was a blessing to just have some time away, to enjoy the beautiful weather and have some fun family time. Here are a few pictures of our trip....
Here is our family at the Phoenix Zoo. Kaden's favorite thing to do is go to the zoo so it was fun to get to visit another zoo.

Kevin's favorite thing to do is to eat at In-n-Out Burger, so we ate there three time in three days. Good thing we don't have these in Colorado.
We went hiking at a nature preserve one day, it was really beautiful and just really nice to be outside, especially when it was in the 70's. Here I am carrying my "little" baby.
Here we are back at In-n-Out.

Another great blessing was getting a chance to spend some time with a couple of other adoptive moms. Melodie is in the exact same phase of waiting as I am and Andrea has her two daughters home from China. It was so nice to be able to talk to some other women that I felt fully understood what I was saying and how hard this whole process can be. Thank you ladies.
And finally it is such a blessing when people you have grown to love through this blog world get to see the face of their sweet child for the first time. Congratulations to Lori and her family, I can't wait to see your sweet boy home in your arms!!
